Balsam Farms CSA 2012

 

Balsam Farms is pleased to offer memberships in our 2012 community supported agriculture program, also known as CSA. When you join the Balsam Farms CSA, you pay a membership fee up front in exchange for a weekly share of the freshest available produce grown by us. Depending on what we are harvesting, our farmers will choose a delicious selection of vegetables for you each week. The dollar value of each week’s share will vary, but over the course of the season, members will receive Balsam Farms-grown produce at a discounted rate.  Of course, members also share in the risk: while we will always do our best to bring you a plentiful variety of items, no one item is guaranteed, and no quantity is guaranteed.

New for 2012, we are offering a Fruit Share option. Last year our membership only included produce grown by Balsam Farms. This year we want to give our members an opportunity to enjoy the fruits of Long Island that we don’t grow.  Two local farms will supply the fruit share: The Milk Pail in Watermill and Briermere Farm in Riverhead. Due to seasonal limitations, the fruit share will not start until June 30th.

In addition to the produce you receive at a discounted rate, you will be making a commitment to your
community by supporting local farming--Thank You!

Membership Information

Payment in full is required upon registration and covers your cost for the full term
of your membership.

We are offering two pickup times this year:

Friday 12pm-4pm  &  Saturday 12pm-4pm.

Pick-up location is our farm stand on the corner of Windmill Lane and Town Lane in Amagansett.

2012 CSA Membership Levels

Option 1:  June 1st/2nd – Aug 31/Sept 1st (14 weeks):       $ 420.00
With Fruit Share (starts June 29th/30th):                           $ 570.00.

Option 2:  June 1st/2nd – Sept 28th/29th (18 weeks):        $ 540.00
With Fruit Share (starts June 29th/30th):                           $ 750.00

Option 3:  June 1st/2nd - Oct 26th/27th  (22 weeks):         $ 640.00
With Fruit Share (starts June 29th/30th):                           $ 910.00.

Option 4:  June 1st/2nd – Nov 16th/17th (25 weeks):         $715.00
With Fruit Share (starts June 29th/30th):                           $1,030.00.
