Balsam Farms CSA 2013

Balsam Farms is pleased to offer memberships in our 2013 community supported agriculture program, also known as CSA.  When you join, your membership fee covers our production costs of planting and harvesting.

In exchange for your fee, you receive a weekly share of the freshest available produce grown by Balsam Farms. Depending on what we are harvesting, our farmers will choose a delicious selection of vegetables, greens, herbs and fruit for you each week. The dollar value of each week’s share will vary; over the course of the season you will receive vegetables at a discounted rate.

In addition to the regular Balsam Farms produce share, we have five optional add-ons this year:

Flower Share ~ 1 mixed bouquet or 1 sunflower bouquet weekly     Farmer’s Choice   Balsam Farms     (June 28 -- Sept. 27)

Fruit Share ~ Seasonal Fruit: berries, apples, pears, peaches, etc.   Farmer’s Choice    Briermere Farms + The Milk Pail    (June 28 – Nov. 22)  
                           
Fresh Mozzarella Share ~ 1 lb. fresh/never~refrigerated mozzarella
Villa Italian Specialties     (June 28~ Oct. 25)

Cheese Share ~ 1/2 lb. of cheese; varies weekly.
Farmer’s Choice     Mecox Bay Dairy     (May 31 ~ Oct. 25)     

Prepared/Preserved Produce ~ Pickles,jams,salsas,relishes + pestos.
Farmer’s Choice     Balsam Farms     (May 31 ~ Nov. 22)

In addition to the produce, flowers, cheeses and other products you receive at a discounted rate, you will be making a commitment to your community by supporting local farming.

Membership Information

Payment in full is required upon registration and covers your cost for the entire term of your membership. Members will have the option to choose between two pick~up times. Once you make a choice, we ask that you stick to it so that we can plan our harvests and ensure the freshest produce. Due to our limited storage, pickup outside of your chosen time cannot be guaranteed.

Pick-up options: Friday 12:00-4:00 or  Saturday 12:00-4:00.
Pick-up location is our farm stand on the corner of Windmill Lane and Town Lane in Amagansett.
